Hello,
I have am trying to log in to the web interface of my networked copier. I navigate to its IP Address, and can view the sign in page. I do not know the administrator password and would like to reset it. It sounds like I need to reset the NVRAM.
The copier is an HP LaserJet MFP E82550. Please provide instructions on how to reset the administrator password.
Thanks
JP

Community Experts cannot provide this information.
Only HP can provide this information because it involves resetting the printer on a level, that if done incorrectly, can damage the printer permanently. In addition, we (who are not HP employees) have no means of proving you are the owner of the device. Security is pretty useless if any random stranger can get their hands on the keys (password).
From the User Guide, regarding the admin password (Page 128)
NOTE: Make note of the password and store it in a safe place. The administrator password cannot be
recovered. If the administrator password is lost or forgotten, contact HP Support at support.hp.com for the
assistance required to completely reset the printer.
If the printer is under warranty -- and even if it is not -- contact HP Technical Support.
Open a case online, explain the problem, and ask for help.
NOTE: If you cannot contact HP Technical Support, we do have limited means of forwarding your request.
