To better assist you -
1.) May I have the exact model name of the printer? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
2.) Is there any antivirus software installed on your computer?
3.) Is the printer connected through a USB hub?
While you respond to that, I'd suggest you go to System Information to check the if the USB is detected or not.
Try a different port and cable if not detected.
