Product: Laserjet 4P
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

old but working Laserjet 4p (1994), model/serial #s are C2O37A,  JPF800 4915.

 

Windows 10 new computer can't find it.  I cannot find a driver on the HP site and some indication that they don't support printers before 2000?  I've seen workarounds for years but cannot find one now.

Add new printer use connected port Lpt1 for parallel port connected or USB001 (or USB002 ...003....) for USB connected and use HP UPD driver PCL5.

How are you connecting to the printer? USB?

a usb connection and the universal print driver provided below worked.  This printer is 25 years old and still a workhorse!!
