Connect TC8 directly to G7500

Is it possible to connect a TC8 directly to one of the POE network ports on the G7500 and have it pair and control the system? I know this is how you connect the supplied microphone.

I am testing it now, and the TC8 powers up but it never receives any type of IP address and doesn't show up under the Device Management menu to pair.

Thank you mshu for the link. I had seen that thread, but I felt it wasn't quite the same issue in the X50 as the G7500.

The G7500 will connect to the clients network using the main ethernet port, and will not be connected via Wifi. I am hoping to connect the TC8 to one of the 3 POE auxiliary network ports and have the TC8 pair to the G7500 and control the system without being on the client network.

I tested at my office and the G7500 works fine and makes calls from the web UI, but the TC8 never receives an IP address and doesn't show up in the pairing menu when connected to the built in network switch ports.
