We are proud to announce new Poly Studio Series video bars and remote room control with Poly Connect. Read more about the solutions!

We have several Group Series 300 units hooked up to Lync 2013 (with the Lync interoperability license enabled).

If we call Polycom to Polycom we get great video quality (as expected), but when we set up a Lync meeting and get the Polycom units to join that (through the calendar integration), the video is much much worse – blurry and low frame rate. If we also include other Lync clients in the meeting the webcam video from those look better than the video from either of the polycom units in the meeting.

Is there a setting somewhere that controls the way that the polycom units set up their video codec when connecting via Lync?

Thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark,

I found this link to a Jeff Schertz's blog.

This goes over RTV support for Polycom systems. It focuses on the HDX but the rules remain the same for the Group Systems. It also goes over speeds and resolutions you will get from those speeds when in Lync calls.
