Hi,

I am running a windows 7 64bit machine, using RPD.

When exiting the software after use, the Process never ends and therefore the software cannot be reopned without first logging off and logging back into windows.

Error: " cannot open another instance of Polycom RealPresence Desktop, the process is already running."

Has anyone else come across this problem?  does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I have also tried to run the software in Compatability mode for XP, but to no avail.

Does it still show up in your SysTray? What about in processes? I've not seen this issue to be honest. We are running multiple RPD's on XP, Win7, & Win8.

Hi Mike thanks for coming back to me and sorry for the long delay in my response i have been on vacation.

it wasn't showing up in my sys tray, but did show within Processes.  I tried to end Process but it didn't respond.

I have since been supplied with the newest version and this has fixed the problem for me.
