My PC does not recognize any integrated microphone, as if there was none. No matter what I do, it's just like it's no there. It had already happened a few weeks ago, but the problem disappeared in a few days by itself. My guess is that there is some internal hardware connection that does not work properly. Any suggestions?
EDIT: turns out that the problem started when I uninstalled the AMD Adrenalin software. Re-installing it solved the issue. I believe that the proper functioning of the microphone should not depend on AMD's software though.

Hi:
The driver controlling the microphone is part of the AMD graphics driver, so it does depend on AMD software.
I had the same issue, and was absolutely surprised when I found out that the AMD Audio device listed under the Sound, video and game controllers device manager category, was the microphone.
I would have bet $100 that it was part of the Realtek audio system like 99% of every other notebook out there.
