HP Spectre x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The audio on my HP Spectre x360 laptop is not working through the speakers. When I plug in my earbuds the audio seem to work fine, but when I take them out the sound does not play through the speakers. I tried shutting and restarting my laptop and it doesn't fix the issue. I only recently got this laptop back in August 2019.

Thank you for replying @Banhein,

My product name is HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ap0xxx and my product number is 4CJ13AV. When I select output devices, it only shows Speaker/Headphone (Realtek(R) Audio).

It actually is a CTO machine, no available specs. Anyway please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

  (a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,

                 https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp97001-97500/sp97021.exe

  (b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
  (c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
  (d) Reboot again.

Regards.

@Banhien

I downloaded the driver, uninstalled the sound driver Realtek and rebooted by computer, but when i went to run the downloaded driver as an administrator, a popup warning came on to my screen saying the driver is not supported on this OS version.

Other than that, when i rebooted my laptop, the sound was working through the speakers so, thank you! I was just wondering if I have to take any further steps because I was unable to run the driver.
