Probook 450 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Today, my notebook shut off hard in the middle of sitting on a table. When I turned it back on, I got the "Start Windows Normally" thing, and everything seemed to come back up fine, except there is no audio. The speakers are dead, and I cannot get anything except some faint crackle out of the headphone jack.

What I've tried:

The troubleshooting steps as laid out on HPs website. This did nothing, as it's simply using Windows built in functions to test the audio.

Check Windows System for issues. All devices in Windows are properly installed and do not show any problems.

Try multiple headphones and speakers in the headphone jack. This only gave a faint crackle when playing audio.

Uninstall the device driver, download the latest driver from HP's website, and install it. This did nothing.

Check online for various solutions, but nothing was specific to my problem.

I'm at a loss here. This will be the second major issue I've had with this laptop, which is kind of annoying seeing as how much I paid for it. Is there anything else to try before junking it?
