Product: HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15z-ee000 CTO

< 2 year old Envy 360, Windows 10, error message "boot device not found", all tests performed, attempted USB reinstall (confirmed with IT buddy the USB with op sys functioned properly), hard drive tested on other devices and unable to recover any information, what can be done? Did lightning/power issue fry the communication board in my laptop while plugged into an outlet? Having a customized laptop rendered useless after a year is a difficult and expensive blow for a recent grad student. Please advise as able. Thank you!
