HP Pavilon G6 Black screen

After my g6 died, I turned it back on and it took me through the system updates, did all of them, and now when it goes to turn on, all I get is a black screen. It will start up just fine in safe mode, but won't do anything otherwise. HELP!!

Re: HP Pavilon G6 Black screen

Hi,

After entering safe mode, uninstall graphic driver from Device Manager.

Then, shut down notebook and restart normally.

See if issue is persisting. If no, download latest version of your graphics driver from HP support page of your model.

Re: HP Pavilon G6 Black screen

I'm not seeing anything that says graphic designer, and it won't let me connect to the internet in safe mode, is this normal?

I don't know which operating system is installed in your notebook nor do I know the full model name of your laptop.

But try this: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03439317
