Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

Have an HP stream 11.  It will not boot, but stops and displays blinking lights on caps lock.  5 long 3 short flashes.  warranty support has expired.  I doubt sending it to HP will be cost effective at this point.

 

I have tried to use button combinations to do a hard restart, but have had no luck. Have seen some suggestions about removing had drive and restarting without the drive in place due to a BIOS issue, but am unclear as to how to open this thing.  It appears to be sealed, unless there are screws under the long rubber pieces on the back.

What you read about removing the hard drive is useless -- as these models do not have a hard drive!  Instead, then have an SSD which is soldered to the motherboard and can not be removed by the consuimer.
