HP Recommended
Product: HP Spectre x360 - 15-ap007na (ENERGY STAR)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Typed on phone, please excuse brevity.

Something in firmware is preventing boot.

This includes both usb and dvd media.

This also includes auto repair.

Installed Win11 or Win7 installation media, both freeze after files loaded to memory.

I suspect uefi security et  al has done something to prevent any and all booting.

I can't even wipe the SSD.

I see I am not the only person affected by this situation.

 

I have tried to contact HP directly by phone, and have been sent in circles by their automated systems.

Any solution or is HP's idea of 'sustainability' to trash their own hardware?
