Hi there ,

i'm using the " HP ENVY 15-j037tx" laptop & there are limitations on bios settings. How can i change my  sata mode to AHCI ? because i recently upgraded with a m.2 (128GB SSD) . it can optimised my laptop's performance. and also i want the

The BIOS has the SATA controller mode set to AHCI, perhaps to RAID if the laptop came with an accelerator cache disk. Even if set to RAID it is fully compliant whth AHCI standards and maximizes SATA performance. Nothing you need to do or can do. And the 15-j037tx does not have an M.2 port it uses an older type of mSATA mSSD. Performance is optimized as well as it can be from the BIOS. What problem are you having?

thanks for the reply, if you see this video  called "Optimize SSD for Faster Boot Times_Read & Write Speeds - YouTube"  yuo can understand my problem.  i'm having a  low READ/WRITE speed from my new mSATA SSD (128GB).

What is low? Can you quantify? The SATA mSSD will give speeds the same as a SATA 2.5 inch SSD maybe 100-150 mbps
