OMEN by HP - 15-ce027nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 4 year old omen 15 has completely stopped. No life in it at all. I had received one or two warnings that my battery was in bad shape...can't remember exact message. The battery had emptied within a few minutes wwhenever i had started without power, so I had been operating only when plugged in.

When I first saw the issue, I had tried to hold down the power button for some seconds without any sign of life. Then after a few minutes trying that I saw that the on/off button turned red, then flashed. This repeated a few time, but without any further sign of life in the laptop.

I'd appreciate any help offered.

Thanks..

Thanks very much UB6424. I can close this issue now. My local pc shop was able to ascertain that the power adapter had given the ghost...i.e. broken. A new one has been ordered.

All the best, Sean

Hello @seaninholland

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ...

(1) Try this

(2) If that (1) does not work ... 😥

Maintenance and Service Guide

In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed
- The function of the fan(s) must be checked

Short circuit test

- BIOS / startup chip test

- Power charger test

- Battery Test/Replacement

- General cleaning ...

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

After Service is finished -> 😃

Please report your results

best regards
