Laptop in portrait mode will not wake up from sleep

While my laptop is rotated in portrait mode, it will not properly enter sleep. When it's supposed to be sleeping, the power button doesn't blink like when the laptop's sleeping in landscape mode. With the laptop not properly entering sleep mode, I cannot wake it up at all. My only option is to hold down the power button until the computer shuts down completely.

I tried resetting all power and sleep settings to default, I tried disabling fast startup. I tested it in tablet orientation and normally, power cord plugged in and unplugged. The problem consistently persists. Any ideas how to fix this?

I see that you are facing issues with your HP ENVY X360 - 15m-Cn0012dx wherein it does not wake from sleep mode.

I suggest that you follow the steps listed below:
1. In Windows, search for and open the Device Manager.
2. Click the arrow next to Keyboards, and then double-click the name of your keyboard.
3. Click the Power management tab.
If the Power Management tab is not available, click the Change Settings button. The same Keyboard Properties window opens with the Power Management tab available.
If you are prompted for an Administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
4. Select the box next to Allow this device to wake the computer.
5. Click OK.

This is the same solution I've seen suggested to everyone with this laptop and problem, and in the support page which I've already gone through. The appropriate settings just aren't available on my laptop or in the responses I've seen from others.

Whether I open the Keyboard Properties through Device Manager or through Device Manager>Devices & Printers>[My laptop]>Hardware>[Keyboard]>Change Settings (the Change Settings button is only available here), the Power Management tab is simply not available.
