HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl012dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I have an HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl012dx. It has been a nice laptop but at the end of 2018 I ran into an issue. One day the computer just stopped charging and I initially thought it was just a bad power adapter. Seeing as I work for an IT company I was thinking finding a power adapter would be easy but this computer uses USB type C charger and it is also an odd wattage. At the time I was busy and thought I'd just come back to it, well that was a mistake because finding the charger was difficult to say the least and I am now way out of warranty. Once I got the new genuine HP charger I expected all the issues to be solved. Well this charger does not work either and the computer is now useless. The battery is dead and I cannont even get to the bios screen. No power light on the computer when the charger is plugged in and no indication at all that it is recieving power. I am beginning to think it is a bad motherboard and I have seen a few posts online about this series of computers having MOBO issues. Can anyone from HP confirm this? Is there anything that can be done to help with a motherboard replacement or further diagnostics? I do not want to throw away such a nice computer but am at a loss at this point.

Sorry, but I don't have very good news for you ...

Once your PC is out of warranty, you are essentially stuck -- as HP has no obligations to repair or replace your PC after that.

You can contact HP Customer Support yourself to see if you have any options, but I seriously doubt there are any.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!
If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (650) 857-1501. Tech Support's number is 1 (800) 474-6836.
