HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My Laptop frequently crashes & goes into Blue screen of death, with different types of exceptions.

In fact this issue is present since i bought this laptop. But with current work from home situation due to COVID-19, i am fully reliant on this laptop & couldn't work, as on an avg of 5~6 times my laptop crashes to BSOD everyday.

All sort of erros like, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA, KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Is there any known system patch to be applied specific to this model?

Is there any known HW issue wrt this particular model (HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13, bought in US in 2015 1Q)

I love this laptop, as it is working perfectly fine for my needs, but just this frustration of BSOD's keep kicking in & its pain everyday.

Pls advice about this model & solution if any.

@MKVN Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting the Blue screen error.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

I suggest the below steps:

Perform SFC Scan:

1. Use Windows shortcut keys Win + X to open the quick menu and then select Command Prompt (Admin).

2. At the command prompt, type the following command sfc /scannow

3. Press ENTER

4. The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files. Note Do not close this Command Prompt window until the verification is 100% complete. The scan results will be shown after this process is finished.

Please try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
