On my above question, some readers are thinking that, I am willing to break into the BIOS system.

BUT THE CASE IS NOT THAT!

The "HP Support Assistant" has sent the message and the link for UPDATING the bios in my system. I did the required things, which downloaded the update of BIOS. But while installing the update, it asked me for the password, WHICH I DON'T KNOW. Now, I am not a technical person, so I cannot open up the computer box, to read what is written in the BIOS Chip.

If the updating is secretive and restrictive, then why the update-message was sent to me. Even if this is a run-of-the-mill message, then there should have been caution written in that, that the updates are ONLY for the authorised dealers of the system.

ANYWAY, THE BOTTOM LINE IS, I WOULD HAVE TO IGNORE THE MESSAGE FOR UPDATING.

Is this so????????????????
