Product: HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cp0000 (2Q7W5AV)

HP bios update started. 30 minutes later, seems frozen. Turned off and have not been able to turn back on since! No lights, no sound. It's an $800 paperweight!

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. 

 

I see that you are facing power issues.

 

Kindly change the power source and see if it powers on.
 

Please confirm if you are able to perform these steps if the device powers on.

1) Shutdown the computer. 

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears. 

3) Press F2 once.
