Hi,

After running the BIOS update through the HP support assistant once rebooted, my facial recognition didn't work and neither did my PIN, I managed to log in with my password but now cannot get facial recognition to work. I have deleted the facial data and tried to start again but nothing happens and the red lights don't come on.

Welcome to HP Forums,

If you haven't attempted a BIOS recovery yet, that's the best way to resolve these issues and before I get you the steps on how to perform them, there something you need to know about installing BIOS updates:

Install it, only if you have any specific issues on your device that requires a BIOS update, otherwise, you don't have to install it, you may have a question: How do I know what the BIOS update was released for? the answer is mentioned under the BIOS details: Click here to know more

For more details on updating BIOS: Click here

To recover the previous version of BIOS: Click here for instructions.

If this doesn't work or you have more queries, please reply back with the details on which "red lights" are you referring to?

If you feel I was helpful, simply click on Accept as Solution to say thanks.

That said, I will have someone follow-up on this to ensure you've been helped,

Just in case you don't get back to us within 24 - 48 hrs.

Have a good day, ahead.
