HP Notebook Product Number W6T34PA#ACJ
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have been facing issues with my HP laptop battery.

Product Number: W6T34PA#ACJ

Model Name: HP 15-AY020 TU

When I put my laptop on charging the battery icon shows "0% available, plugged in". There is no charge progress in the icon and laptop shuts down immediately with both AC adaptor and battery. However, when I remove the battery and just plug in via AC adaptor the laptops boots and doesn't shut down which means the AC adaptor is working fine. Also, when only the AC adaptor is plugged in the battery icon shows "255% available (plugged in).

I'm not able to check the health of battery through HP support assistant as the laptop shuts down when battery put in even though the AC adaptor is also plugged in.

KIndly help what needs to be done as I'm not able to use my laptop with battery. My laptop is 4 years old and I changed the battery last year itself i.e. May 2019.

Please let me know is the problem and how to troubleshoot the same.
