I have this very unfortunate issue with my HP Elite X2 G3. It will - without any exceptions - freeze whenever I disconnect the power cord. 

 

When I disconnect the power cord from the USB-C port, the fan will go crazy and within 30-120 seconds the touchscreen / pen / keyboard will stop responding. 

 

There's no error message and the only option is to force a shut down of the hardware.

 

All drivers, without "Intel Serial IO Driver" and "Intel Thunderbolt 3 Secure Connect for 2018" are updated. These two drivers cannot be updated (I don't know why).

 

Hope someone may be able to help.
