HP Recommended

I have owned the HP Envy M6 for over four years.  I ran into the hinge issue in 2014 and had that replaced after going back and forth with support for weeks.  Over the past few months I ran into a display issue where the screen would go black or whte randomly for a period of time.  The HDMI port would work fine though.  Long story short, I bought a replacement screen.  When I went to hook it up to the display cable and test it, I smelled something burning and quickly turned it off.  The display cable appeared to be broken.  I did end up replacing that too but anytime I turn on the laptop it only stays on for about for a few seconds and immediately turns off.  I did not see any type of damage on the motherboard.

Does anyone have any recommendations I can do before putting nail in this laptop's coffin?  Thanks!
