HP Pavilion DV6 keyboard Isn't Working - HELP - How to Fix?

[ Edited ]

RE:  HP Pavilion DV6 - 6175ca  Keyboard troubleshooting

Windows 7 - Home Prem x 64

I purchased this laptop nearly 2 years ago -

Yesterday, I cleaned the laptop externally while it was unplugged & shut off. After starting up & opened to desktop, I have not been able to use keyboard.  I attached an external USB keyboard & external wireless mouse--they both work.

Googled troubleshooting for this model...I tried the following suggestions given to others, BUT without success.

2. remove battery

3. Press On switch for 10 seconds - 3x

4. Reinsert battery.

--- ReStarted, keyboard not working.

1. Start Computer

2. Tap F8

3. Choose Safe Mode

... --- ReStarted, keyboard not working.

Safe command with prompt command

... --- ReStarted, keyboard not working.

1. Turn on Computer

2. Tap F2

3. HP Diagnostics Tests

4. All tests done & Passed.

5. Restarted, keyboard not working.

NOW, when I start laptop, it automatically opens up to WIndows Boot Manager..

with option to Select WIndows 7

Press F8 for options...

selecting any option now results in loud continuous warning sound... only way to shut off this sound, is to turn off laptop.

Any input/suggestions to solve this very welcomed.

THank u
