HP Help Forum 080218 Hard disk Statistics Anomaly

Dear Help Forum, When I tried to determine the amount of GB needed to back up my Hard drive on my HP Laptop, I found some confusing numbers. The Drive is 200 GB. There is 111 GB "used", with 37.5 GB with no explanation. What are the possible explanations?

When I check the used space in windows Explorer, using "properties" I get the following:
