Hello!

@DavidPK, Could you please provide help for a HP6570b laptop?

I got contacted by a sysadmin from a company I used to work for asking me if I remember a BIOS password for the official laptop I was using, which I don't as more than 3 years passed since I left. I wanted to help and started googling for the way to reset the password but I came up empty. All I found is this thread with you providing code for resetting security lock after unsuccessful login to BIOS.
Any chance of success this way?

Thanks in advance.

This is awesome, and it sounds like it might be my only hope. Do you think the method my works on my HP 17-g121wm Pavillian???

I called HP and they said I would have to replace the motherboard, I really hope they are wrong. I have already reset the BIOS by takeing the BIOS battery out and it did indeed reset successfully but the password remains
