@hoshyar

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you had the motherboard replaced for your HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 Entertainment Notebook and since then there is an error message stating "invalid product information."

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Was the motherboard replaced with an HP authorized motherboard or was replaced locally by a local repair center.
  • Was the laptop working fine after the motherboard replacement or right after the replacement the error appeared?

Meanwhile, I did some research and found the list of compatible motherboards for the HP Pavilion dv6 Entertainment laptop series:

Secondly, the error you're getting is because of tattooing. The Windows operating system is tattooed to the motherboard which originally came with a computer. I suggest you to contact HP phone support for this. The system tattoo utility is only available to HP and HP Authorize Service Providers.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!
