Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i would like to upgrade my hp notebook with a ssd but i am not sure if there is any available ports in my notebook. if there isnt is it possible to add the ssd to the optical dvd burner?

 

please reply as soon as possible thanks

I think your machine is an HP Notebook - 15-ac648tx :

It only has 1 slot/bay for HDD. You can add HDD using ODD (Optical drive) slot but it won't boot from therefore my suggesion:

 

(a) Buy a 2.5" standard SSD for laptop,

(b) Clone existing HDD to SSD,

(c) Install SDD to the existing HDD bay/clot,

(d) Using a SDD-HDD adapter and install old HDD to it.

 

Note: adapter must be Fixed, serial ATA and 9.5-mm thick.
