I had made lots of effort trying to replace the hdd but it seems the laptop does'nt have one, but an eMMC i guess.

 how can i uprade that to atleast 320gb because it is really hard to keep attaching an external drive to the port frequently.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

HP sold these units with very small SDDs in order to keep the prices low, but they didn't plan on MS coming out with Cumulative Updates that take up lots of space on the drive, leaving little left to use.

I don't know that you CAN replace the NVMe SSD with a larger one, as the problem at this point is the lack of adapters to allow you to connect an NVME SSD to your PC in order to "clone" the existing "drive" to the new one.

I have seen advertised an adapter that connects a standard SSD port to and NVMe port, such that you would connect the NVME to that adapter, that adapter to an SSD-to-USB adapter, and that adapter to a USB port on your laptop.

If that worked, you could then use Macrium Reflect -- a free utility -- to clone the contents of your existing SSD to the new SSD following the instructions in this link: http://knowledgebase.macrium.com/display/KNOW/Cloning+a+disk

When you then swapped the drives, you should reboot and be OK.

But ... as I don't have this equipment, I have not tried this and can not confirm it will work.

Good Luck
