I recently bought a laptop and don't know the previous users password to get passed the front screen. How do I do a factory reset? Or how can I bypass the old administrators password to change it as mine

You have a serious problem on several fronts ...

First, the typical way would be to do a factory reset -- but that requires the Admin password and we are prohibited from telling you how to find that out.

A second approach would be to purchase HP Recovery Media -- but HP does not carry the older media for Win7 anymore.

So basically, you would need to take the laptop to a local service facility so they can reset the password for you.
