Creating a bootable USB flash drive

HP Recommended
HP Mini 210-3025sa

I recently bought an HP Mini second hand with a wiped hard drive. I am trying to create a restore on a USB by  following nstructions on HP's support website

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c01634414

Under 'Creating a bootable USB flash drive using a Windows computer'

Having typed in the product number,  the instructions recommends to choose Linux  Operating System (Why I have to do so for a Windows notebook is beyond me, but instructions are instructions) however there is only one choice, which is windows, version 7.

The next step says to Select HP MIE Restore Image Creator (for Windows). However, this does not show.

It shows a list of drivers, but no option to create the recovery media.

Does anyone know what gives?

Many thanks,

Markus5

Greetings @Markus5,

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums.

I understand that you need assistance in getting the recovery media for computer, is that right?

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Have you checked the specifications of your computer?

Please click here for the specification of your computer.

The operating system installed on your computer was Genuine Windows 7 Starter 32.

Please refer to this HP Article for assistance in creating the recovery media on your computer.

The article shared by you is not applicable for your computer.

It only meant for computers configured with Windows Mobile Internet Experience Operating System.

If the HDD was formatted and if you do not have a recovery kit, please contact our phone support team to order a copy of the recovery media meant for your computer.

Let me know how it goes.
