HP Notebook - 17-x108ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My dad's HP Notebook - 17 -x108ca has become very slow. It takes a good 5mins (it used to be 15mins but I reset and updated the BIOS) on the startup to load windows and the explorer. Initially task manager states there is 100% CPU utilization which then drops to around 1% after the 5mins but then transfers over to 100% disk utilization when everything is minimal while there is nothing but Windows applications running. I have factory reset the laptop, updated the BIOS, updated Windows, used SFC scan and CHK DSK, bought a new battery and used HP's very own diagnostic tools/software. All have not changed the issue. The computer is only four years old and should not be this slow, please help if you can.
