Product: Pavilion 15 notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

When I turn my laptop on it says "smart hard disk error" I recently bought a new one but it won't let me get passed a screen, someone told me I had to somehow put the old one back in and download something on a disk & put the new one back in  it I don't know what to download from the old one to make the new hard drive work ....help

Hi,

Can you provide the exact model or product number (not serial) for further help. Here is how to find it:

The SMART error indicates that you should replace the hard drive. What screen can you not get past with new drive? When you insert the new drive you need to reinstall the OS on it with bootable media.

I got past that, now it won't let me connect my wifi. What do I do ?
