Pavilion does not see hd in Windows 10

Pavilion 17-g121wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HD died, replaced with SSD, now no HD is seen by Windows 10 install media -  Windows 7 loaded but no drivers for it. Want to load Windows 10

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to assist.

 

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-g121wm. I read that you have installed an SSD because the original hard drive failed. You have installed Win10 and the high definition is not working. 

 

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Expand display adapters. Right click on the driver drivers in it and select uninstall.
  • Close the device manager after the drivers are uninstalled. 
  • Restart the laptop.
  • Now, please install the latest display drivers from this link.
  • Yiu may restart the laptop one more time.
