Hi @KDIGGY,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP laptop is encountering a startup issue where it pauses and displays a message prompting you to contact HP support. This could be due to various reasons such as a hardware problem, a software glitch, or an issue with the recovery process.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can fix temporary glitches. Try restarting your laptop and see if the issue persists.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up-to-date. Microsoft frequently releases updates that can fix bugs and improve system stability.
  • Update Device Drivers: Outdated or incompatible device drivers can cause startup issues. You can update drivers through the Device Manager or use HP's official website to download and install the latest drivers for your laptop model.Software and Drivers for HP Notebook - 15-da0053wm
  • Perform a System File Check: Windows has a built-in tool called System File Checker that scans and repairs corrupted system files. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command "sfc /scannow" to initiate the scan.
  • Check for BIOS Updates: Sometimes BIOS updates can address compatibility issues and improve system stability. Ensure that your laptop's BIOS is up-to-date by visiting HP's support website and downloading any available BIOS updates for your specific model.
  • Perform a System Restore: If the issue started occurring after a recent software change or update, you can try performing a system restore to revert your system to a previous state when it was working fine. Search for "System Restore" in the Windows search bar to access this feature.
