when i plug the charger into my laptop it appears a white light but its not working at all , i removed the battery and plugged the charger and still not running , the charger is not damaged because i tried it on another laptop and it works , i tried to keep the laptop plugged the whole night and try to run it in the morning, but also not working , i updated the laptop from xp to 7 but it was along time ago before this issue take place , also my laptop can run without the charger so the battery is working but i still canr run the battery test because i cant even start it , some times the laptop opens but it shuts without further notice and won’t start no matter how much i try !

Your model PC came out 13 years ago, so my natural suspicion is a serious hardware failure for this is a LONG time for a laptop to keep working.

If you CAN, to find out the problem, you would need to be able run hardware diagnostics by pressing the Esc key repeatedly and then, when the HP Startup Menu appears, select Diagnostics (usually F2) and let it run.

If you can NOT do that, or if that does not work, then there is NOTHING more you can do by yourself -- and there is NOTHING we can do because we have no way of accessing your PC from here to run diagnostics or repair hardware.

You will need to have the PC physically examined in a service facility by folks that can run their own diagnostics to determine what is wrong with it.

--------------------

Since your PC is long out of warranty, then it will cost you up front to have HP examine your PC. You would easily spend a lot more to have it checked out than if you simply replaced it.  And even if you DID spend money to have it fixed,  you would still have a very old PC that could fail again at any moment.

However, If you want to have it fixed, you will have to contact an HP Repair or Service Center to see if they can examine the PC to determine the cause(s) of the problems, if it can be repaired, and an estimate of the repair costs.

If you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:

Good Luck
