I recently purchased the monthly tech support for $14.99 per month and after I paid, I was transferred to a tech specialist who said he couldn't fix my problem and he transferred me to another tech specialist who's communication skills were not very good so I asked to cancel the transaction.
Nobody did any work on my computer and I was still on the same call. Had not hung up and called back.
I was told that somebody had to call me back withn 3-5 days to talk about a refund. I didn't like that but I had already been on the phone a long time with HP and wanted to get off the phone.
A woman called me days later and said I had entered a contract with HP and there would be a cancellation fee. I told her I had not used the service and had been on the same call when I decided that I did not want it after all. She insisted I would have to pay the cancellation fee of $49. I told her I would call my credit card company and then she said she would cancel and not charge me the cancellation fee.
Days later, I discovered that HP had charged me a set up fee of $35 and the first month fee of $14.99. I was never told of a set up fee. I would not have agreed to that had someone told me that.
Because of all this I will not purchase anything from HP again and do not know how I'm going to get my laptop serviced.
Has anyone purchased this tech program and received competent service?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
