Keyboard F lock vs. Fn key

Is there a way to put a F lock instead of holding in the fn key for f1-f12 to work?? Because instead of using the F1 feature it brings up help if I don't hold in Fn. So can someone tell me if it's possible to F lock so I don't have to hold in the fn key.

Re: Keyboard F lock vs. Fn key

You can totally disable Fn key on the laptop. Follow the below steps

1)Press the power button to turn on the computer.

2)Press the f10 key to open the BIOS setup window. Then navigate to the System Configuration option and you will find an option which says Action Keys Mode option, and then press the enter key to display the Enable / Disable menu.
