Keyboard Key "Sticky"

I bought a dv3t-2000 laptop a a couple of months ago--in late November--and with the exception of various issues that came up here and there it's been operated as well as I suppose I could hope for.

Just now, over the weekend, however, a problem came up with my right "shift" key. The key is sort of "soggy" if I may use such a term. Basically, it doesn't push down as easily as it used to until now--missing the "click" part of it--and instead feels as though I'm pushing down on a soft surface.

What I would like to know is:

Is there a simple way to fix this problem?

Would this problem be taken care of by HP?

Should I expect the same to occur eventually with other keys as well?

Thank you!
