Laptop goes to Hibernate mode Battery remaining

HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

My laptop starts to go to hibernate mode, like the battery has died when there is sufficient battrey remaining. there is always power about 50% when this happens. I tried changing the advanced power settings by resetting also. When I plug it back and turn on the battery shows about 1%. This issue is there for about 4 months now. I bought the laptop in 2013 December.

My laptop is a HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC with windows 8 64 bit

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Sorry, but this is just a community forum staffed by volunteers and we have no way of troubleshooting or repairing your PC from here.

All we can do here is provide links to troubleshooting steps that HP has written, and links to HP drivers.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00363266?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0006

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03325217

If those links don't diagnose or fix the problem, or those drivers don't work, your only recourse is to take the PC into an HP Service Center and have them look at it.

Here is a link with information on HP Service Centers: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372730?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0004

Good Luck
