Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. I came across your post and would like to help. I understand that you have upgraded the operating system to Win 8.1 (64 bit) on your HP ENVY m6-1102tx Notebook. Since then the fingerprint scanning and webcam do not work. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

I did some research and found that there are Win 8.1 (64 bit) updated drivers for Cyberlink YouCam Software: http://hp.care/2fonPSN.

However, there are no updated drivers for HP SimplePass Identity Protection. Please uninstall the existing webcam software and then download it from the link provided.

Post installing the webcam software, please test it using the steps provided in this link: http://hp.care/2fotuIg. If any issues arise with the webcam then the solutions are explained in detail in this document: http://hp.care/2fon4Ju. I am always here to support. Let me know how it goes. Cheers!
