New HP Notebook

I'm a novice...bought a new HP Notebook at Office Depot...it appears I'll have to purchase MS Office seperately? Is that right? Thanks.

New HP Notebook

@MSDog

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

When a new PC comes with MS Office, it is generally a trial version, typically 60 days or so, and when that trial period is over, you have to upgrade to a paid version to keep using it.

Different resellers, though, offer different bundled deals to sell HP PCs, so you would have to check with Office Depot to see what they included, because these days, some resellers include a subscription to Office 365, and that could be a full year's susbscription (if that is what they provided).
