HP LAPTOP one year old
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My one year old notebook has window 10 (it came with windows 10) just received a windows 10 update. After I restated the notebook a new background was evident.....I put my usual password in the login box WHICH IT DID NOT ACCEPT but says INCORRECT PASSWORD.

Seems rather unbeleivable but true.

cant sign in after windows 10 upgrade

Hi,

Here are a couple of things to check.

1.  One possibility is that the keyboard layout has been changed, so try logging on using the on screen keyboard as follows.

At the log on screen, click the Ease Of Access icon in the bottom right corner, select On-Screen Keyboard and enter your password using this.

2.  See if you can reset the password via another PC from the Microsoft page on the following link.

 https://account.live.com/password/reset

Regards,
