OK.

Open the HP Support Assistant

Click the Profile icon on the main menu

Enter your UserID for your HP Connected / HP Smart / HP account login

Enter the password

Click whether you want to remain signed in

Click the Sign-in button

Account?  This may all be the same account - if you don't have another HP account besides the one you used here (on the community), use that Userid and password.

The idea is a solution only if it works.

On occasion, over longer periods of time, I have noted that my own login to HPSA has "expired".  The "expiration" message displayed when I clicked on "My Account" - that is, checked on the login / setup.  In this instance, it is necessary to Log into the software.

If you wish to do so, add anything similar to the following to the proposed solution:

If logged into the software, Click on My Account (your login icon)

If you see a "expiration" notice, click to log (back) into the software

Else

Click on My Account (login icon)

Log out of the software

Close the software.

Wait about 15 seconds,

Open the software.

Log into the HPSA using your HP credentials.

If I think of anything else to add, I will post back / edit this message.

HPSA = HP Support Assistant

You may, of course, ignore the suggestion.

The login credentials in the HP Support Assistant are only part of the setup.  For example, you must be running the HP Support Assistant software in / from an account on your computer that includes administrative privileges.

Another Expert is likely to have something different to offer.
