1080p screen backlight bleed

HP OMEN 15 (2016)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

Just got myself a brand new HP OMEN 15 with 6700k, GTX965M, 250GB SSD, 1TB HD, 16GB DDR4 and the bloddy bad Full HD Screen.

I have some serious backlight bleed issues.

Have you ever seen anything like this on the OMEN series? Is this "normal" with all 1080p omen laptops?
Or would a RMA fix the issue?

I would have gotten the UHD edition, if I had the chance....

1080p screen backlight bleed

Hello@carlhook,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.

I understand that you need assistance in fixing e backlight which is bleeding as shown in the image. Did I get it, right?

This looks to me as the panel fit issue. This should be fixed through an RMA service request form HP.

I recommend you to get in touch with HP Phone support using the link below for any warranty related support options.
