Hi,

 

I have noticed that I have some lags playing the video on my 4K LG TV connected to my laptop via HDMI2.0 CABLE. 

 

Later I have noticed this in Specs:

1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge); 1 HDMI 1.4

So, Graphics card is GTX1050 with 8GB memory, but HDMI is only 1.4 ?!? Thats weird...

 

Will I have better performance if I connect my TV via Type-C port and adapter to DP1.2 (HDMI 2.0) ??

I have searched documents and found that for my.model is capable to go with type c for display.

 

Hope ot will work with type c to hdmi, for 4k@60 Hz.

 

HP really.made a mess with documentations (for other, not supported models) and mess with capable graphics card but hdmi1.4. Shame for such company
