HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl0XX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My active stylus (HP P/N 905512-02) has worked with my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl0XX until this morning. I tried changing the battery and this did not help. My finger and a passive stylus work fine. I updated the system BIOS and the stylus still does not work. Are there any other potential fixes or is the stylus dead? Thank you.

I understand that Active stylus not working.

 

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

 

I would suggest you to update the Bios and Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP Support website, using this link.

 

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

 

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

 

If the issue persists, uninstall the keyboard drivers from device manager and restart the computer.

  • Please right-click on start>select device manager>Expand Keyboards>Right-click on the listed drivers and uninstall them. Then restart the computer and check again if the issue is fixed.
  • If it continues, please replace the stylus battery and check again if it gets resolved.
  • If it persists, please try to perform the prescribed troubleshooting steps from this link: HP PCs - Touch Screen Stylus Pen Is Inaccurate or Stops Working

In that case, I would suggest you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
 

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
