Im trying to connect a 3rd monitor to my laptop through the usb c port. I already have a hp 24w monitor connected through the hdmi port, and have bought a QGeem usb c to hdmi adaptor to connect a 2nd hp 24w monitor but it does not register that its even plugged in, the monitor just stays dark and says input signal not found. i don't no wear the problem is, ive read my laptop has the correct graphics to support a 3rd screen. ive gone into the display settings and usb settings but its not even showing there's anything plugged in so im a bit stuck.

I understand that the Connecting laptop to monitor using USB c port is not detecting.

 

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

 

Have you tried with a different adapter and checked?

 

Please let us know if you have tried connecting a different device to the USB C port and checked.

 

Please perform the USB test and check.

 

1. Power off the PC and make sure that it is completely powered off.

2. Press the power button and the moment you press the power button immediately start tapping F2 key, you should see the system diagnostics screen.

3. Look for the component test, under that all the hardware will be listed, please choose USB and initiate the quick test.

Note: If it fails it will generate a 24 digits alphanumeric failure id, please capture that.

I have checked the specification of your product.

 

1 USB Type-C™ 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only, up to 5Gb/s);

 

It will not support video and audio.
