HP Active Stylus suddenly stops working

I have been using HP Pavillion x360 with the active stylus that came with it for more than a year now. 

However, I stopped using the stylus for more than a month since I was busy so I can't draw for a while. Now, when I tried to use the stylus, it wouldn't work. I already replaced the battery but still, nothing has happened. What could be the solution to this?

@JustineElize I suggest you look for the Intel touch driver on the HP website, if available install it: click here to find and install the same,

That said, if the update is unavailable for your device, here's what you need to do:

Click here for downloading hp support assistant and use the same to download the appropriate software for he stylus and if it doesn't help, check if the stylus works on an alternate device.
